San Diego Bay - Parade of Lights



Here's what I'll be doing next Sunday night.... The boat parade on the San Diego Bay!  It starts at 5:30 and you can see it from Shelter Island, Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village or Coronado.

Look for me in a 100% human-powered boat!   Really!

Don't forget:  Our school will be closed from Nov 17th to 25th for Thanksgiving break.  See you on Monday, November 26th!

Hi Everyone,

If you haven't registered yet, the LAST DAY for preregistration is Tuesday, August 28th, from 8:15 to 10:00 am in Room 127.

REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR CSID CARD!! You will need to know your student ID number in order to register.

Fall classes will begin on Tuesday, Sept 4th. See you then!

Register for Fall Classes

Hi everyone! I hope you're having an excellent summer.

Here's the schedule for FALL registration. Someone from the ESL department will be at West City at these times to help you pre-register.

For the intermediate class, here are the dates and times:

MONDAY, August 13 from 10:00 to 11:30 in room 203
OR
WEDNESDAY, August 15 from 8:15 to 9:45 in room 203
OR
(if you can't come on those days,
Tues Aug 21 or Tues Aug 28
from 8:15 to 10:15,
in room 127 downstairs)

REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR CSID CARD!! You will need to know your student ID number in order to register.

(If you have friends or family members in other levels of ESL, they may have different registration dates and times. Please, if possible, register on August 13, 14, or 15th. Fall classes always fill up quickly.)

Fall classes will begin on Tuesday, Sept 4th. See you then!

Our Olympic connection

Do you know anyone who is competing in the Olympics in London?
Dijana's sister Marina Muncan, running for Serbia
Our classmate Dijana's sister, Marina Muncan, is on the Serbian team!  She will be running in the women's 1500 Meter race on August 6th at 11:45 am London time.

Dijana wrote this to me:  "I think NBC will record and display the race on August 7th.  I hope that she will qualify for the semifinals. The semifinals will be on August 8th at 7:45pm ( London time ), and the final will be  on August 10th  at 8:55 ( London time )."
